Metro leaders bury the hatchet

Nelson Mandela Bay executive mayor, Zanoxolo Wayile and former mayor Nceba Faku buried the hatchet on Tuesday to address protesting residents of Motherwell.

Residents in a street in unit 29 are reportedly pitted against each other because of their support for the two.

On Tuesday, 10 people appeared in court on charges of arson after two shacks were torched in the ongoing violence.

During their visit to Motherwell, Wayile and Faku called for calm saying their differences must be solved through dialogue.

Mayoral spokesperson, Luncedo Njezula, said service delivery has ground to a halt because of the ongoing rivalry between the two factions.
