Eastern Cape police have rearrested another prisoner who escaped from Barkly East prison.
This brings to eight the number of escapees who are now back behind bars.
Provincial police spokesperson, major Ernest Sigobe, says the man was arrested in Phola Park in Elliott on Tuesday afternoon.
He was part of a group of eleven inmates who shot and killed prison warder, Mzolisi Dusubana as they broke out of the prison on Saturday.
Several other guards who were held hostage were also injured.
The manhunt for the remaining three is still continuing.
