MEC launches safety campaign

 Eastern Cape Safety MEC, Helen Sauls August will launch the province's safety month campaign in Koukamma Municipality this weekend.

The event takes place at the Woodlands Sports Fields on Saturday.

The Department of Safety says the February programme will include a celebration of the 15 year existence of the Eastern Cape Community Policing Forum.

Safety Month will also be used to establish so-called safety patrollers and devise strategies to preventing police killings and mob justice.
