The Eastern Cape Health Crisis Action Coalition says Eastern Cape premier Pumulo Masualle must share his urgent plans to save the province’s health system when he delivers his first state of the province address in the Bhisho legislature on Friday morning.
Coalition spokesperson, Fikile Boyce, says they've been advocating for improved health services in the Eastern Cape for a long time.
He says they've had little success in their attempts to engage the previous health administration, but are now looking forward to working with the premier and his new Health MEC, Dr Pumza Dyantyi.
DA provincial leader, Atholl Trollip, said government is wasting a lot of money in handing over the baton from one premier to anotheMeanwhile the Border Kei Chamber of Business says it wants the premier to address the challenges faced by government in the province.
Chamber executive director Les Holbrook says those challenges include infrastructure and the cost of doing business in the province.
