A Lesotho national who brutally murdered a couple in Great Brak River over three years ago will be sentenced on Monday.
The 29-year-old Stephen Lekoro was found guilty in the Circuit High Court in Mossel Bay on Friday
He fled to Lesotho shortly after killing the 72-year-old Tewie Human and his 62-year-old wife Eurika at their home in June of 2016.
Lekoro's accomplice Thamsanqa Sishuba was arrested shortly after the murders and is already serving a double life sentence.
During the trial, Sishuba testified against his friend Lekoro who evaded police for two years and who was considered to be the mastermind of the crime.
Judge Mark Sher said in finding Lekoro guilty on Friday that the evidence against Lekoro was overwhelming and that he had pre-planned the ruthless killing of two innocent people.
