Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspects for the possession of abalone valued at hundreds of thousands of rands.
Police Captain Johan Rheeder says the suspects aged 24 and 60 were arrested on Wednesday in the Humewood area.
AlgoaFM news understands that the abolone seized by police is valued at well over R300 000
The bakkie transporting the abalone was also confiscated.
The suspects will appear in court on Friday.
