Mass memorial service for van Stadens Bridge crash victims

T he Eastern Cape Department of Transport will hold a mass memorial service on Tuesday for the six people who were killed in an accident on Van Staden Bridge earlier this month.
The accident happened when the driver of a mini bus taxi, transporting people to Fort Beaufort for a church service, lost control of the vehicle.
The taxi hit the bridge, killing six people and leaving nine other critically injured.
Bhiso Transport Department spokesperson, Ncedo Kumbaca, says the the Memorial Service will take place at 5 o'clock at the Woodlands Community Hall in Tsitsikamma.
He says funeral arrangements for the victims will be communicated in due course
