Police in Gqeberha are investigating the murder of a man who was thrown out of the window of a house in Gelvandale in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a group of masked men entered the property in Van Duuren Street and started assaulting the people in the double-story residence.
“It is further alleged that Sheldon Prinsloo, around 30-years-old, was flung from the window of the top floor and died from his injuries.”
She said a case of murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, and theft were under investigation.
Colonel Naidu said police are also investigating a house robbery reported at about 03h45 the same morning in Jupiter Street.
“It is alleged that a group of men broke into the premises and broke down the garage doors and cameras and hard drives. They were allegedly looking for a person,” she added.
Colonel Naidu said the suspects ‘could not be identified’ and that no arrests have yet been made.
