Eastern Cape police are searching for the gunmen who shot and killed two men outside a tavern at Sweetwaters, eQonce, on Monday.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, said the men sustained several gunshot wounds during the late afternoon incident.
He said the investigation into establishing the motive for the shooting is currently underway.
Meanwhile, Kinana said a man, said to be the tavern owner, was arrested for being in the possession of Tik and Mandrax tablets.
He said the 43-year-old is expected in court soon on drug-related charges.
