Police in Gqeberha are on a manhunt for several suspects who robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle in Cleary Park.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the incident took place while the vehicle was parked outside a local shopping centre just after 5 am on Friday.
She says two bodyguards were approached by 10 to 15 armed suspects as they were getting out of the vehicle.
According to police, the suspects robbed the guards of their firearms and fled the scene in numerous vehicles with an undisclosed amount of money.
