Knysna Detectives have made a breakthrough in their search for the 47-year-old George Cameron, wanted in connection with an attempted murder and robbery case.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says Cameron allegedly lured a 69-year-old woman into a business transaction at Waterfront Drive on the 5th of May.
He says when the victim arrived, Cameron jumped into her vehicle and threatened her before pouring petrol over her.
Sergeant Spies says the woman managed to escape the ordeal and went looking for help.
Police suspected that Cameron was hiding somewhere in Cape Town, but a suspect matching his description was arrested in Rustenburg in North West this week.
He will appear in the Knysna Magistrates Court on Friday.
