Man with bakkie accidentally drives over toddler in Pretoria driveway

A case of culpable homicide has been opened after an 18-month-old baby boy was run over by a bakkie in Pretoria.

According to the police's Mavela Masondo a tenant at a property in Kameeldrift is implicated in the case.

It is alleged that the man entered the premises with his Ford Ranger bakkie when he ran over the child.

The incident occurred late on Monday afternoon.

Earlier this month an Eastern Cape family lived through a similar tragedy when a mother from Graaff Reinet accidentally reversed over her two-year-old son.

The accident happened in the family's driveway.
