Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Bluewater Bay on Monday night.
Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says Swartkops police were summoned to a crime scene in Hillcrest Drive at 6.30 pm where they found the body of a man in his thirties.
She says the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his face and head.
Captain Swart says there were eyewitnesses who tried to apprehend the suspect who ran away.
She says security officers patrolling the area eventually assisted in the arrest.
The alleged murder weapon was also handed to police.
The 25-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Motherwell Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
