A 41-year-old man was rushed to hospital on Friday morning after being attacked and stabbed in his cottage at a guest house in Main Road, Addo.
Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says three men armed with knives stormed into the cottage at around 4 am and stabbed the victim several times in his upper body.
They fled with his backpack, which contained a cellphone, a laptop and clothing.
The suspects are still at large.
Nkohli told AlgoaFM News that the victim is originally from Cape Town but is currently working in Addo.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Addo police detectives or their nearest police station.
