Police detectives in Makhanda have asked for assistance from the community to find a 36-year-old woman who has been missing for more than 40 days.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says the 36-year-old Noluvuyo Nomthandazo Mqawu who resides in Joza, was last seen on Friday the 17th of December on her way to attend a traditional ceremony at Transit Camp.
He says she never reached her destination and is untraceable and unreachable on her cellphone.
Police say on the day she disappeared she was wearing jean shorts, a black hoodie jacket and flip flops.
Any person who can shed some light on Mqawu's disappearance is urged to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Songezo Sakata on 082 779 7117.
