A 54-year-old man will appear in the East London Magistrates Court on Monday, following the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl.
The incident allegedly took place during the early hours of Sunday morning, at the Mzamomhle informal settlement in Gonubie in East London.
According to police, the teenager and her neighbour were having drinks, when they were joined by the suspect.
The man allegedly raped the girl whilst they were alone in the shack.
The matter was reported to the girl's father, who in turn alerted the police.
