A man was killed, and a woman and two children were injured, in an accident on the N10 between Cookhouse and Patterson earlier on Wednesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stefanie Smith says it is alleged that the vehicle in which the man was a passenger, left the road and overturned about 40 km from Cookhouse.
She says the driver of the vehicle, a woman and a boy aged 8 and a 4-year old girl were seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Port Elizabeth for medical treatment.
Smith says police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
