Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a fatal collision on Standford Road on Saturday afternoon.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the driver of a Bantam bakkie was driving on Standford Road towards Cleary Park when it collided with a Jetta travelling in the opposite direction.
Naidu says it is not yet clear how the collision occurred.
The driver of the Bantam bakkie died on the scene and was identified as the 39-year-old Jason Michaels.
Colonel Naidu says two passengers in the Jetta, a husband and wife, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
