East London police are investigating a case of murder following a business robbery at a supermarket in Summerpride.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi says three suspects entered the shop on Sunday afternoon and held staff and customers at gunpoint.

Mbi says the suspects fired shots wounding three people and killing a man in his late thirties.

He says the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a vehicle.

The suspects are still at large.
