Man killed in apparent hit while dancing at local tavern

A young man from Gqeberha was killed on Saturday while dancing at a tavern at Soweto-on-Sea.

Captain Andre Beetge says 21-year-old Anele Ncate was dancing inside Stadium Tavern just after 9 pm when unknown gunmen entered the tavern and opened fire.

He says the men wore balaclavas and shot Ncate several times before fleeing the scene in an unknown black vehicle.

Beetge says nothing was stolen and they believe the incident to be a targeted murder.
