Police in Colchester are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 21-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the victim was a passenger in a Renault Kwid that was driven by a 36-year-old man.
She says the two men were driving on the N2 towards Gqeberha when the driver lost control shortly before 2 a.m.
Colonel Naidu says the vehicle hit the railings and landed in a bush.
The driver was taken to hospital while his passenger died on impact.
The names of the driver and victim are yet to be verified.
Just hours earlier, another unknown man, who was also travelling on the N2 towards Gqeberha was killed when his bakkie landed in the Swartkops River.
