A man was killed when his vehicle overturned on the N2 near Thornhill outside Port Elizabeth on Saturday morning.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the accident happened at around 4 am.
He says a Toyota Quantum panelvan, travelling from the direction of Cape Town towards Port Elizabeth presumably lost control, and it overturned.
Bramwell says the driver was alone in vehicle and he sustained fatal injuries.
Thornhill police are investigating the cause of the accident.
