A paddle cruiser that capsized at its mooring on the banks of the Knysna Estuary has been stabilised.
The vessel was reportedly taking on water since Thursday evening.
SANParks spokesperson, Nandi Mgwadlamba says expert divers and salvors worked through Friday night to prepare the boat for re-floating.
She says no one was on board when the boat started taking on water.
Mgwadlamba says although pollution control barriers were deployed around the vessel, no diesel has leaked and they hope that the vessel will not pose a risk to the environment.
Marine engineers will investigate the cause of the incident.
