The suspect arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a 67-year-old woman from Sedgefield has indicated that he will apply for bail.
50-year-old Sean Kelly appeared in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Tuesday following the murder of Noreen Hamspon, who was bludgeoned to death with a hammer over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Malcolm Pojie, said he is also facing two cases of malicious damage to property for allegedly damaging the vehicles of members of the public who were the first to respond to the crime scene in Marigold Street.
Kelly will appear in court again next Wednesday for his bail hearing.
