One person killed in horror accident just outside EL

One person was killed and four others injured in a horror accident between two cars on the R72 at Cove Rock just outside East London.

The injured were transported to hospital by various emergency services with injuries reportedly ranging from moderate to minor.

Photos of the aftermath of the crash posted by Dynamic Emergency Medical Services on its Facebook Page show one of the cars cut in half by the force of the impact.

The name of the deceased is not yet known.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
