A man will appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Thursday in connection with a bomb threat at the city's airport.
Police captain, Stephen Marais, says a suspect in his 40's allegedly made a threat to a staff member of Kulula.com while passengers were boarding a flight.
Marais says airport security detained the man, and the terminal building was cordoned off.
Police are investigating a case of contravening the civil aviation act.
Marais says the public is not always aware of the seriousness of threats at airports.
