Man in court for being in possession of murdered child's cellphone

A 25-year old man is expected to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrates court on Friday. 

Charges against him relate to the possession of a cellphone belonging to a 10-year old girl who went missing last weekend.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi, says the body of the child was discovered in NU8 amongst bushes by a passerby on Thursday.

Mbi says a post mortem will be done to determine the exact cause of death.

Police suspect  foul play.
