A 15 year old appeared in the George Regional Court on a charge of rape after he allegedly raped a 7 year old boy last week.
The incident happened on Thursday after a group of children played in the Golden Valley area.
The children allegedly saw that the suspect acted in a strange manner, after which they started to run away from him.
The victim was however caught by the teenager and raped.
He sustained multiple injuries.
The suspect was released in the care of his family, and will appear in court again shortly.
