An Eastern Cape man is due to appear in court soon for gunning down his wife in King Williams Town.
Provincial police spokesperson, Captain Khaya Tonjeni, says the incident happened on Wednesday.
He says the 32-year-old woman was confronted by her 39-year-old husband in Dimbaza where an argument ensued.
Tonjeni says the man then shot his wife, who died on the way to the hospital.
The suspect handed himself over to the police and the firearm recovered.
