Man gunned down moments after knocking on mother's door

Police in Willowvale are investigating a case of murder after a 25-year-old man was shot in front of his mother's house.

Spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says the man went to his mom's house in one of the villages last night, where he knocked on the door asking her to open it.

He says the mother then heard gunshots and was too afraid to open the door.

Police were only informed about the crime this morning.

The victim's body was found in his mother's yard.

His identity is still being withheld.

No arrests have been made.
