Detectives in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, have opened a murder docket after the body of a man was discovered on Sardinia Bay Road on Tuesday morning.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says members of Coastal Conservation were on patrol in the area when they found the body of the unknown man.
She says the deceased, who appeared to be in his twenties, had been stabbed to death.
Captain Janse Van Rensburg says anyone who may be able to identify the victim or who has information on the murder can contact the Walmer Police station.
