Police in Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape are investigating the murder of a 45-year-old man who was found lying face down in a bushy pathway on Monday.
Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, said the deceased, Koos Conradie was found lying near Die Fontein Bos Reserve in Lotusville after 10 a.m.
He said Conradie sustained multiple wounds to his head and throat, and Emergency Services declared him dead on arrival at the scene.
His body has since been moved to the Graaff-Reinet Mortuary.
Anyone with information that can assist detectives in the investigation is urged to contact the police.
