Johannesburg City Power employees on Sunday discovered the body of a man who had been electrocuted while tampering with a substation near Steeldale in the south of Johannesburg.
A spokesman Isaac Mangena said It is suspected that the deceased was electrocuted trying to dismantle and steal material inside the substation.
Working tools were also found in his possession.
Mangena issued a stern warning yet again to those who try to vandalise or dismantle the cities infrastructure.
He says not only is it costly but could lead to death.
The scene was handed over to police who have not yet released the name of the victim.
