Man electrocuted to death at Mossel Bay petrol station

A 40 year-old man was killed on Tuesday morning when he was exposed to a power cable carrying 66 000 volts of electricity near Mossel Bay.
The deceased has been identified as 40 year-old Sandi Dyalaza.
Correspondent Louise Karsten reports that the incident happened at around 8am at the Total Garage on the N2 near Mossel Bay
The man was doing renovations at the petrol pumps when he moved a scaffold from one point to another.
The scaffold touched an overhead electrical cable. The man died at the scene.
His co-worker, Gladstone Vermeulen was also shocked.
Vermeulen was admitted to the Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital with serious burn wounds. There was a power failure in Heiderand, Dana Bay and KwaNonqaba due to the freak accident.
