A passenger on a Mango flight has died shortly after the plane was diverted to George Airport.
Mango spokesperson, Hein Kaizer, says the Mango flight J E 139 was en route from Johannesburg to Cape Town when a passenger on board had a medical emergency.
He says a decision was taken to divert the plane to George Airport.
The man experienced health problems an hour into the flight and George was the nearest available airport.
Kaizer expressed his condolences to family and friends.
