Police in Uitenhage are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after two men were shot at in their house in Kwanobuhle.
Police Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says it is alleged that the suspects broke the back door of a house in Sinxo street at about 10.30 pm, before firing multiple shots at the occupants.
She says a 46-year-old man was fatally wounded on the scene and a 52-year-old was admitted to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
The motive for the attack is not known at this stage.
Swart says the name of the deceased is being withheld until his next of kin have been notified.
Any person with possible information is urged to contact police.
