A Port Elizabeth man has been wounded in a robbery at his home in William Road, Charlo.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stanley Jarvis, says 64-year-old Willem van Zyl was watching TV in his lounge at about eight o'clock last night, when he heard sounds from the front door's security gate.
He exited through a back door and walked around the house, and found four men trying to break open the gate.
The men overpowered him and dragged him into the street, where they hit him over the head with a firearm, and shot him in each leg.
They fled with only his wrist watch and are still on the lose.
Van Zyl has been admitted to hospital in a stable condition.
