Man arrested near Wilderness for possession of magic mushrooms

A 33-year-old man is expected to appear in court on drug-related charges on Monday following his arrest on the N2 at Wilderness.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says police conducted a vehicle checkpoint on Sunday and pulled over a Honda Jazz travelling from Knysna.

He says upon searching the vehicle members found five packets of magic mushrooms and a small quantity of crushed Ecstasy hidden in the back of his vehicle.

The man will be charged for possession of drugs.
