Man arrested in Bay suburbs- cbd oils and dagga seized


A 40-year-old man from Kabega Park in the Western suburbs of Gqeberha appeared in court on Tuesday, following his arrest over the weekend where drugs worth over half a million rand were seized.

Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa says the information was shared with their crime intelligence that drugs were being sold from a house in Masson Street.

She says they quickly applied for a search warrant and proceeded to the mentioned house.

She says upon arrival, they were granted permission to enter.
During the search police confiscated dagga, ecstasy, CBD oils and other edibles.

Lieutenant Colonel Mawisa says the following items, with a street value of R550 000.00 were seized:

19 kg of dagga
605 grams of shrooms
63 grams of MDMA
42 CBD tablets
13 envelopes of DAB
5 balls of Hashish
2 bottles of CBD oil
33 CBD vapes
17 oil syringes
31 chocolate edibles
330 rolled dagga zolls

Police also recovered a licensed firearm, a 9mm Taurus and magazine with ammunition, and two cellphones.

Lieutenant Colonel Mawisa says it is believed that the suspect is the supplier around Gqeberha however police investigation is continuing.

He was granted bail of R3 000 and the case was postponed to the 13th of September.

Police did not divulge the suspect's name.
