Man arrested for stabbing girlfriend and unborn baby

 Police in Mdantsane arrested a 28 year old man for allegedly stabbing his highly pregnant girlfriend and unborn baby

Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Nkosiko Mzuku says the two had an argument when the stabbing took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The baby sustained stab wounds and was born prematurely at a hospital in East London.

The infant is in a critical but stable condition.

The Suspect will appear in court on Monday on a charge of attempted murder
