A 65 year old Eastern Cape man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 52 year old wife.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says it is alleged that the victim was asleep with a ten year old boy in Centane, when she heard a knock at the door and the boy woke up to open.
He says the husband entered and demanded to have sex with his wife.
Manatha says she refused, and the man then allegedly threatened to kill her.
He says the suspect eventually overpowered the woman and allegedly raped her.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in Court on Thursday.
