Man arrested for killing his girlfriend and injuring two other women

 An Eastern Cape man accused of killing his girlfriend, stabbing her grandmother and allegedly kidnapping another woman has been arrested.

The 28-year-old allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Nomandithi Goniwe to death after attacking Goniwe's 85-year-old grandmother Nomandithi Velebhayi, at Chefana east of Elliotdale in the Transkei.

The grandmother is in a critical condition in hospital.

The suspect is due to appear in the Kwaaiman Periodical Court on Monday.
