Port Elizabeth police have arrested a young man in connection with one of two shooting incidents in Helenvale last night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says the suspect and two accomplices approached a 26-year-old man and started shooting at him.
He was wounded in the leg and has been admitted to hospital.
The 23-year-old suspect was arrested shortly afterwards and police have confiscated a firearm.
Janse van Rensburg says another man was wounded in a seperate shooting incident in Helenvale last night, after he was also attacked by three gunmen.
