The firearms case against EFF leader Julius Malema and his co-accused, Adriaan Snyman has been postponed to Tuesday in the East London Magistrate's court.
This is pending Magistrate Twanett Olivier's decision on the admissibility of the video footage evidence.
Malema and Snyman were back in court today where they made an application to determine the admissibility of the video footage allegedly portraying Malema discharging an automatic rifle during EFF's 5th-anniversary celebrations in Mdantsane in 2018.
NPA spokesperson Luxolo Tyali says Magistrate Olivier will rule on Tuesday on whether she will allow the trial to continue, or if a trial within a trial needs to commence to determine the admissibility of the video footage.

He said they are opposed to a trial within a trial as it will delay this matter.
The case has been dragging on for four years already.
Malema has pleaded not guilty to five charges brought against him.
His co-accused is facing a single charge of Contravening the Firearms Control Act.
In the years leading up to the trial, Malema's legal team has argued that the gun used in the video was a toy.
