Two men had a lucky escape when a bakkie was obliterated after colliding with a truck on the N10 near Cradock on Friday.
However, the Eastern Cape Transport Department says both drivers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Department spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, said that the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Binqose says the accident scene has been cleared and the road is open to traffic.
