Long way to go for rugby transformation - Hoskins

South African Rugby Union President Oregan Hoskins says there is still a long way to go to ensure racial integration and transformation in rugby.

Hoskins was speaking at a public dialogue at Walter Sisulu University in East London on Thursday.

He says they've opened four academies to train young black rugby players.

"We have long way to go. We are on the right road," Hoskin said.

"We have fought very hard for the Eastern Cape Kings to be part of Super Rugby because we believe that is going to boost transformation. Most of the black and coloured players are from the Eastern Cape and if they have a franchise to look up it will go a long to way to making those elite black players that we need."
