A journalist from the Herald newspaper in Gqeberha has been reported as missing after she failed to show up at her family home in Stutterheim.
Twenty-seven-year-old award-winning journalist, Yolanda Palezweni left her home on Saturday and was reportedly hitchhiking home to spend Christmas with her son and family.
Yolanda last spoke to her sister at 4 pm on Christmas Eve where she informed her that she had just passed Makhanda.
Concerned staff from the Herald reached out to Algoa FM with a request to broadcast Palezweni's disappearance on the airwaves.
On Monday morning there was no sign of her at her flat in Gqeberha and her phone rang unanswered.
Any person with information about her possible whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
