Loadshedding in progress for 7th consecutive day

Eskom has implemented another day of load shedding.

The power utility says it will implement Stage 2 loadshedding from 9 am until 10 pm due to a shortage of capacity.

It says several generating units are still out of service due to breakdowns.

Eskom has urged consumers to save electricity wherever possible.
