Rhodes University has suspended lectures and tests following another day of student protests.
Students took to the streets on Monday to protest against rape.
This, after the names of eleven alleged offenders were published on social media, sparking an uproar on campus.
On Wednesday students blockaded Prince Alfred Road leading on to campus.
We also received reports of students being arrested.
Algoa FM News spoke to Mako Muzenda who is the online-editor for the student publication Activate.
"Police move onto campus and from there the situation escalated. They were firing rubber bullets and pepper spray at students. We can confirm that a member of the 'Activate' team has been arrested" she said
