Butterworth police have detained two grade 11 learners for questioning following the murder of a teacher.
Police spokesperson Jackson Manatha says its alleged that the 44 year old teacher was drinking with one of the boys at a local tavern last Friday.
Manatha says both went to sleep at the home of the teacher as his wife was working at Bizana.
Once the teacher was asleep, the 18 year old student allegedly took his car and fetched his friend at Komga township.
Manatha says both learners then drove back to the house and allegedly attacked and killed the teacher in his sleep.
He was listed as missing on Monday and Butterworth detectives made a breakthrough on Wednesday.
They arrested two young suspects who led them to the body of the deceased just outside Komga
